Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 7th July, 2026

Welcome to Kinsome Studio. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website (kinsome.studio), our membership programme, studio bookings, and any events, camps, or programming we run (together, the "Services"). By using our Site, becoming a member, or booking a session, you agree to these Terms.

If you don't agree with any part of these Terms, please don't use our Services — and get in touch if you have questions.

1. Who we are

Kinsome Studio is a membership-based recording and production studio, based at The Trampery, Fish Island Village, Hackney Wick, London, for women, trans, and non-binary musicians, producers, and creatives.

Contact: hello@kinsomestudio.com

2. Membership

Membership is open to the community Kinsome exists to serve, as described on our Site.
Membership tiers, pricing, and benefits are as set out at the time of sign-up and may be updated from time to time; existing members will be given reasonable notice of any material change.
Membership fees are billed monthly and are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to decline, suspend, or terminate membership at our discretion — for example, in cases of harassment, damage to the space, breach of these Terms, or non-payment.
You may cancel your membership at any time by giving 30 days written notice to hello@kinsomestudio.com.

3. Studio bookings and use

Studio time is booked via our booking system (currently Acuity) and is subject to availability.
Cancellations made less than 12 hours before a booking may be charged at full ate.
You are responsible for the safe and appropriate use of studio equipment. Any damage caused through misuse, negligence, or unauthorised use may be charged to you.
Please leave the space as you found it. Repeated failure to do so may affect your continued access.
Access to the studio is via keybox, and access codes/keys must not be shared with non-members without our permission.

4. Code of conduct
Kinsome is a space built on inclusivity and mutual respect. We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour of any kind towards other members, staff, or visitors. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for anyone who breaches this code of conduct, without refund.

5. Events, camps, and programming
Open studios, retreats, workshops, and other programming may have their own specific terms, pricing, and cancellation policies, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
Spaces on programming are limited and allocated at our discretion, which may include prioritising our core community.
We may photograph or record sessions/events for promotional purposes; where this is the case, we'll ask for your consent in advance.

6. Intellectual property

Any music, recordings, or creative work you make using our studio or equipment remains your own intellectual property. Kinsome claims no ownership over member-created work.
Content on our Site (text, branding, design, logos) is owned by Kinsome and may not be reproduced without permission.
If you contribute content to our Site or social channels (e.g. testimonials, images), you grant us a licence to use it for promotional purposes unless agreed otherwise.

7. Payments

All fees are shown in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store full payment card details.
Late or failed payments may result in suspended access until resolved.

8. Liability

We take reasonable care to maintain safe equipment and premises, but use of the studio, its equipment, and attendance at events is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kinsome is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of earnings, data, or creative work, arising from your use of our Services.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
You are responsible for your own possessions brought into the studio; Kinsome is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

9. Website use

You must not use our Site in any way that causes damage, disruption, or is unlawful.
We try to keep our Site accurate and up to date but do not guarantee it is error-free at all times.
We may update, suspend, or withdraw parts of the Site without notice.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date shows the most recent revision. Continued use of our Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
